Tachi Waza
The long sword of the Samurai riding his horse was hanging at the left thigh of the warrior, cutting-edge down. Often longer than the Katana, the Tachi also had a stronger curve, making it easier to draw it when riding. The Tachi was invented at the end of the Heian period and is the origin of all sword systems created hereafter.
In these videos, you will discover how to use the sword one-handed, while applying the sword techniques of the Bujinkan.
It is advised to learn first the Kukishin Ryū Biken Jutsu before trying the Tachi Waza, as the basics shown in the Kukishin will help you re-discover the original techniques.
