Kodachi/Shotō
The Shotō, Wakizashi, or Kodachi is the second sword of the samurai. The size of the weapon is between 2.5 to 3 Shaku.
In this video, the three Waza of the Kukishin Ryū with all their "official" Henka are demonstrated.
When these techniques were taught by Sensei, he insisted on the fact that the blade was positionned in the Obi like a Tachi, i.e. cutting edge down, unlike the regular Katana.
