Shinden Fudō Ryū II

Jin Ryaku no Maki & Bonus Kihon Happō

In his book “Unarmed Fighting Techniques of the Samurai”, Hatsumi Sensei says that: “Nature changes and is, therefore, beautiful. ... We must, therefore, know the substance of the change.”

This adaptive “change” is the essence of the Shinden Fudō Ryū. Founded in the 12th century at the end of the Heian period, this is the first school taught to Takamatsu Sensei by his uncle, Toda Shinryūken Masamitsu. It is also the last school taught by Takamatsu to Hatsumi Sensei.

This Ryū is solely composed of three levels, but its importance is proven by the fact that Toda’s Dōjō was named “Shinden Fudō Ryū Dōjō.

This part consist of the Jin Ryaku no Maki & the bonus Kihon Happō with the feeling of the Shinden Fudō Ryū .
